Attention! The Polish Armwrestling Federation is now fully ready to hold the IFA European Championships in Armwrestling. You have known the date for ages. We can confirm! May 26-30, 2022
The place is also confirmed: Poland, Rumia, near the Tricity (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia). For many athletes it’s already a well-known and much appreciated place. It was where the first IFA World Championships were held in 2019. That’s also where Professionals World Cup “Złoty Tur” took place for many years. We’re sure that every team has someone who already knows Poland and Rumia. You will feel at home!
How to get to Poland and to the venue:Airplane – it’s recommended to land in Gdańsk. From there, it’s only 30 kilometers to Rumia. You can use public transport or ask for a transfer from a hotel.Airplane – if you land in Warsaw. Get to the Main Station from the airport. Every hour or so, a train leaves to Gdańsk, the trip takes about 3 hours. From there, take the Tricity’s metropolitan train to Rumia (approx. 40 minutes). It takes about 5 to 10 minutes by taxi to get to the venue from the station.
Visa procedures, if you’re coming from outside the visa-free zone, take at least 3 weeks. In this matter, write to Anna Mazurenko.
About Covid! Starting April 1, Covid passports, vaccine certificates and tests are no longer mandatory! We don’t wear masks anymore as well.
Hotels:We recommend the Faltom Hotel. It’s close to the venue. While booking, please use code “armwrestling” with the staff – they have special places reserved just for us for this event.
Other hotels:Ask how far from the MOSiR Sports Hall the hotel is located. The venue’s placed on Mickiewicza 49 street.
